(very far, in fact just 3 days to the end of it!)
Since i'm free now & have nothing much to do, feel like blogging about my internship stint before i start to forget bits and pieces of this experience.... and then will give a generic answer like "oh so so lor" when someone asks me about it!
Surprisingly, despite myself dreading it before i've even started, i'm already somewhat missing it; or its impending end. Not that it has been a fun-filled internship, but the environment is nice, the staff are great -- always offering a smile to even interns like myself and i have two fabbbbb supervisors. They're really supportive, encouraging and grateful for little things that i helped them with... which makes all the work i've put in worthwhile. Even as my mom fell sick last week, my i/c smsed me everyday (sometimes more than once a day) to check if everything's ok :)
Some students are really fun to be with too! There're a couple of students who'd now talk to me tho i've only interacted with them at most twice or thrice since i'm not teaching them or have only conducted lessons for observation purposes. Today i went for NPCC (SUCH AN IRONY & TWIST OF FATE - WHO'D HAVE THOUGHT - but my other i/c is NPCC c/o, so no choice!) and the boys are pretty funny! We (me and the 2 boys) kept giggling when they were doing their errr, drills with the rifle? Almost got them into trouble cos my i/c thought they must have done a bad job since i'm smiling when asked how was it :/
I've got good company from Mablerine (another intern), the fellow NIE trainees & Limin the RT!!! We'd just look forward to breakfasts/lunches and get away from the office space that we're cooped up in otherwise. Cue bitching sessions... not about anyone in particular laa, but just sharing, hahahha!
In all, it's been a really great experience! But it's mostly to do with the fact that there's good company and teachers in the school, coupled with good students as well! Although it could get pretty mundane (esp. during June hols - but we'd just surf the net away!) and some admin work to do, i think it's considered really decent as compared to other shitty work/internship out there where interns get shitty treatment.
TEEHEE. of cos got other miscellaneous reasons but won't spell them here laa... in case anyone chance upon then i srsly dunno where to throw my face!!! ok, that's all! peace out, xx. :D
