here we go again

after falling sick and bedridden for the whole of Saturday, I was aghast at seeing my own face in the mirror earlier! I look so sallow that pale would be rosy in comparison. thank god for make up! my body was retaliating so much that it finally gave in RIGHT SMACK after that event! hahaha... thank goodness for that.

the event was a success, if I were to judge it, that is. am really glad for the great DA team of people... and even the events crew were so great, I couldn't have asked for any better support. I've had fun... despite the trouble of it all. after a year plus of planning, long awaited is pretty much an understatement.

otw to meet BFF for coffee :) have a blessed Sunday y'all, for Monday's just round the corner.

woah. here we are.... right smack into march. today's international woman's day..... i'm a woman, hear me roar :) RAWWRR.

been away for a while cos nothing's interesting really happening. work makes one rather boring. or maybe, there's just no reason to share anything at all. or..... there are just some things better left unsaid :p

january was such a hoot that i think i need to be good for the rest of the year..... highlight was no doubt RyWy's wedding.... it was simple, beautiful and had me in tears on several occasions. i'm just such a wuss when it comes to weddings........ or maybe i was just really high. HAHAHA. for the longest time, i think wedding dinners are really redundant but after theirs............. i think even if i had the chance to have one, i want one at marina oriental as well!!! the food is great! OH, scrap that. i'll just suggest my frds to have their weddings there... so i get to eat the good stuff - for wedding dinner standards :D~ (Hyatt sucks, btw)

and dANG, feb just went by LIKE THAT. what even happened? oh.... CNY :) and valentine'swhateverday. don't wanna be a sour grape but everyone should just get over that day. for real. or make it into a single's day or smtg.... celebrate being single!!!! i guess i am celebrating singlehood on a daily basis. #truestory

can't say how much i am really enjoying my independence, my freedom to do whatever, travel wherever, my nightly jogs... they complete me. and nights like this when i actually do feel lonely, i look back at things that once warmed my heart...... and it actually made me feel better a tad bit, reminiscing how that feeling actually felt. thank you for the memories.

my brother was admitted into the hospital a couple of days ago (when i travelled to BKK, talk about bad timing) for suspected dengue fever and he was telling me the patient next to him had 4 slipped discs and could not even lie down, nor stand up. he needed such high dosage of painkillers and morphine that it's the maximum legal dosage that the doctors are able to provide. when he needed to go for MRI, they had to give him GA in order for him to lie down for the scan.... and he's only 37 years old. my heart really goes out to him. i may not know your face nor your name, but you are in my prayers. feel better already.... i really pray that the pain will be subsided and that you'll be healed in no time.

i hope i'll be back again for more updates! this is actually rather..... comforting. and fun. and time consuming - which is a damn good outlet for boreeeeedom!!!! ^_*

march is gonna be a bitch (at work, at least), but i know i'll survive it. watch me do it! ;)

a mei was so superb.... the concert has been one of the best that I've attended in my life! since... there aren't that many to begin with :p

I realized how few songs the 3 of us (Andrew, Marcus & myself) know. hahah! we're probably the rare few who aren't her hardcore fans. everyone was singing along to almost every single song!!!! the 3 of us would be like "what's this song???" "nice hor!!!" hahaha!

anw, I really wanted to go just to watch her perform the medley of love songs. that I watched she gave a preview on kangxi. and I got more than I asked for - a truly remarkable performance that I've thoroughly enjoyed :) wd def go for a next one!

farm trip with the little ones

haven't been so such farms in the longest time! last I remembered was with kimmy and calvin (cheng xi) and that was really ages ago - uni year 1, good times:) passed by the fibua area at kranji and recalled our "ghost hunting" trip with the fivers gang.... missed all the shit we were doing last time & spending time going to the end of SG just for such nonsense.... ;)

went with the little ones from our family zenn's plus 2. our farms in SG are kinda pathetic... I only saw goats today. I was expecting many more, hahaha. had lunch at ivy singh's bolloywood & it was a rather quaint experience... oh well, at least we did away with the usual shopping trips & let the young ones understand more abt their surroundings ;)

IF I ever have kids, I think I'd want them to rough it out, play in the rain, get close to nature.... instead of how kids are now pals w gadgets like iPhones/iPads and getting educated from cartoons.

iPhone finally has an app for blogging!!! yay!!! I'll b able to blog on the go - if I'm that bored or really have smtg pressing to say, whine, or complain :p

in the same evening, i was offered a change in my current function

as the SG team is hiring a new mktg exec

& since i'm keen in the position, i was given the opportunity to take it on!

to cut the chase,

i was called in early morning to a follow up on the position

& i agreed to it :)

nothing's cast in stone yet cos pending all the HR formalities

i'm excited bout the exposure that this new job scope will bring

nervous about the challenges ahead and if such a role suits me

but still, i'm thankful for a new challenge

and a steeper & hopefully, exciting learning curve

Hullo!

Universal Studios was a blast! :D

maybe cos i went w/o much expectations?

wynn said it was disappointing, kimmy thought it was fun; so these mixed reviews kinda made it neutral for me.

anw, i thought it was fun!

it's not huge but it isn't exactly pathetic either.

the rides are new, i went on Tuesday & my longest waiting time was just 15mins; the crowd wasn't aggressive; mixed crowd of caucasians & asians - so it was all pretty good. at least i didn't have any -ve experience!

my favourite rides have gotta be 'revenge of the mummy' and 'cylon'!!!!

the whole experience was so exhilarating & we took repeated times :D

i'm having body ache all over now -_-"

i kinda regretted not getting some USS/shrek's memorabilia

i wanted the gingy plush toy & some cups/glasses!

but kinda walked to far away from far far away land to buy again :(
