Does Hell exist?

"Religion won't let you love yourself. Religion is the accuser of the brethren, that's what the devil is. It's legal systems, religious dogmas that say you're not good enough, you're not God enough," he said. "People who believe in hell create it for themselves and others. People who believe in devils and demons become that in consciousness, and they act it out." - Minister Carlton Pearson lost hig mega-congregation after he questioned whether hell really existed. I can understand why he lost his mega-congregation; people who are so used to the usual preaches & messages are not going to let go of the norms they've been believing& especially if they have "put in effort" to prevent themselves from going to hell. Why would they WANT to believe that hell exist?

Given a choice, i'd rather it doesn't. Living itself is hell sometimes, so imagine going through an eternity of hell all over again when you're dead. What's the point of being a man if it just brings torment upon torment?

And no, i'm not swayed cos i've read this article. It's just something that's been on my mind for as long as well. And if such a so-called powerful minister can doubt all these scriptures, i feel almost saint. It's all in the state of heart & mind.
