I'm not feeling emo now. Just that I'm thinking about Life.
I dunno if it's fate, or God's will, but this 80 year-old (very established and doesn't look 80 at all) man gave Kimmy a lesson on Life, Success and Love ystd when we were hanging at Macs Siglap.
It was damn insightful, i tell you. It was those kinda stuff you wish your parents would have inculcated in you... about what life entails, telling you not to give up, and do what's best for yourself. (including not to have sex around, cos boys would boast about it and they're always the ones with nothing to lose; on the other hand, you're simply a prized possession.)
It was a half-hour of my life that something was totally worth listening to.
Always been thankful for the people/things I've got in life. Everyone always wishes that 'Things could have been better', but i think greed gets you nowhere. If you want better things in life, you've gotta work for it. Just hoping/wishing/saying that it'll come your way doesn't exactly work. You've gotta WORK for it.
Life is never easy. They say uni is easy... and i realise that's a hoax right when i step into SMU. Maybe i SHOULD be more hardworking, and be a slave of GPA like the majority. And the reason i never am gonna be that way is becos that's just not the way i am. To me, it's always the process. And i've just gotta make sure that i don't screw things up, if you KNOW your learning process well. And if i do work hard, i just do. For where my passion lies, there's where i am.
As the old man said, "Life is never easy. We're born into a wicked world, that's why the first thing we do when we come here, is to cry. Life is never easy. Life is only easy for those who're in the coffin."
How sadly true. But that's just the way it is.
